Leah Woytek enters her second season as an assistant coach for the Titan softball team for the 2022 season.
Woytek joins the Titan coaching staff after a stellar four-year playing career with Thiel College. As a member of the Tomcats, Woytek was a three-time All-PAC selection, including first team honors in 2019 (second team in 2018 and 2017). In 2019, Woytek led Thiel to a runner-up finish in the Presidents' Athlete Conference (PAC) Tournament and was named to the PAC Tournament Team. Woytek stamped her mark all over Thiel's career record book, as she is the program's record holder in runs scored (111), second in school history in hits (167), tied for fourth in batting average (.409) and fifth in stolen bases (31). Woytek started all 123 games for the Tomcats in her collegiate career. Woytek was also a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team selection in her career and was the PAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2020.
In 2019, Woytek started in all 41 games for the Tomcats. She scored 42 runs to lead the league and set a new program record. Woytek also ranked second in the conference for batting average (.453), on-base percentage (.519), and hits (63). She stole 15 bases which was the fifth-most in the PAC and had the ninth best slugging percentage (.511) in the conference.
In 2018, Woytek started in all 34 games for the Tomcats. She had the second best batting average on the team at .373. Woytek tied for second on the team in hits with 41. She also led the PAC in triples with 4 and was seventh in the PAC with an on base percentage of .461.
Woytek graduated from Thiel in 2020 with a Bachelor's Degree in Conservation Biology with minors in Wildlife Biology, Food & Agricultural Biology and Psychology. Woytek is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Westminster.
