After graduating from Westminster with a degree in history in 2018, Owrey served as a graduate assistant through the 2020 season and has been a part-time assistant in 2021 and 2022. 

A four-year varsity letter winner, Owrey was a part of four-straight winning seasons, including back-to-back 28-win seasons in 2017 and 2018. Owrey is a member of Westminster's All-Decade Team.

Owrey, a Shenango High School graduate, currently teaches in the Beaver Falls School District.
