Tommy Otto

Tommy Otto enters his fifth season at Westminster and 24th as a baseball coach for the 2017 season. He serves the team as the assistant head coach, hitting coach, and the recruiting coordinator. Westminster has hit for a .295 team average since Otto has been on staff.

Otto has led 12 regional and 12 state qualifying teams in amateur baseball in his career. His teams also have qualified for three national level World Series. Otto has spent 18 seasons as the head coach of a Youngstown Class B team and 11 seasons as a coach at Youngstown Chaney High School. Otto has been instrumental in player development throughout his career as he has sent 165 players on to play baseball in college in 18 seasons as a head amateur baseball coach. He has also coached four players that went on to be drafted to play in professional baseball and 46 division one players.

Otto has been on the Youngstown Class B executive board for nine years and is currently serving as baseball commissioner. His career highlights include a AABC Connie Mack regional runner up team in 2000. Otto's team won a Youngstown Class B championship in 2005 and also a Palomino Region championship in 2011. Otto's team qualified for the NABF World Series in 2014.  This last summer, he led his team to the Palomino World Series.  Otto has compiled a 873-741 coaching record in his baseball career.
