TRAFFORD, Pa.--The Westminster women's volleyball program was picked to finish sixth in the 2026 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Preseason Coaches' Poll. The results of the coaches' poll, voted on by the conference's 13 head coaches, were announced Wednesday afternoon along with the PAC's Players to Watch List.

The winner of last year's PAC Championship Tournament, Grove City, earned the top position after collecting 122 points and nine first-place votes. Hiram was picked second with 115 points and two first-place votes, while W&J was third with 96 points. Chatham was fourth with 91 points, followed by Franciscan in fifth with 88 points and one first-place vote. Westminster was sixth with 84 points and the final first-place vote.

The program had four returners named to the league's Players to Watch List: senior Liv Trent (Pittsburgh, Pa., Brentwood), juniors Brooke Gecina (Aurora, Ohio, Aurora) and Morgan O'Brien (Pittsburgh, Pa., Our Lady of the Sacred Heart) and sophomore Kylie Anthony (Harrison City, Pa., Penn-Trafford).

Trent appeared in 26 matches last season and finished with 226 kills, 13 assists, 22 service aces, 302 digs and 31.0 total blocks. Before suffering a season-ending injury, Gecina appeared in eight matches and recorded 10 kills, 12 assists, 16 service aces and 122 digs. O'Brien earned Honorable Mention All-PAC honors at the conclusion of the 2025 season, the first All-PAC honor of her career. In 30 matches played, she led the team with 251 kills and added 331 assists, 14 service aces, 203 digs and 46.0 total blocks. Anthony concluded her first season at Westminster with 149 kills, 18 assists, 24 service aces, 289 digs and 13.0 total blocks in 26 matches played.

Led by 34th-year head coach Tammy Swearingen, the Titans concluded the 2025 season with a 20-11 overall record and finished 10-6 in conference play. It marked the Titans' fifth 20-win season since 2018. As the No. 3 seed from the PAC North in the PAC Championship Tournament, Westminster earned a quarterfinal win over No. 2 seed Chatham from the PAC South before falling to No. 1 seed Hiram from the PAC North in the semifinal round.

Westminster opens its season Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 7 p.m. when it travels to Pittsburgh, Pa., to face Carnegie Mellon. The Titans' home opener is set for Friday, Sept. 18 at 2 p.m. when they host the Westminster Invitational. PAC play begins Saturday, Sept. 26, at 1 p.m. at W&J. The league's regular season concludes Saturday, Nov. 7, with the eight-team PAC Championship Tournament scheduled to begin Tuesday, Nov. 10. The championship match is slated for Saturday, Nov. 14.
