Anthony, O'Brien earn ECAC honors

DANBURY, Conn.--Westminster rising sophomore Kylie Anthony (Harrison City, Pa., Penn-Trafford) and rising junior Morgan O'Brien (Coraopolis, Pa., Our Lady of the Sacred Heart) were honored by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Friday morning. Anthony was named the ECAC's Division III Rookie of the Year while O'Brien was one of the 13 players selected as a member of the All-ECAC team.

Anthony, a utility player that spent time at both third base and as a designated player, claimed the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Newcomer of the Year award and Second Team All-PAC honors on May 7. She made 38 starts (39 appearances) and hit .389 with 13 doubles, eight triples, one home run, 25 RBIs and 41 runs scored. Her eight triples were the most in the PAC and are tied for eighth-most in Division III. A two-time PAC Newcomer of the Week selection, Anthony had 12 multi-hit games this spring.

O'Brien, a second baseman, was named the PAC Player of the Year and First Team All-PAC and was recognized as a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) First Team All-Region VII selection on May 15. O'Brien is Westminster's fourth PAC Player of the Year honoree, joining Mackenzie Latess (2024), Jazmyn Rohrer (2018) and Jennifer Pancake (2007). She hit a PAC-best .488 with 16 doubles, three triples, two home runs, 46 RBIs and 39 runs scored. Her 61 hits were the most in the league while her 1.219 OPS was third-best in the PAC. O'Brien's 46 RBIs are tied for third-most on the program's single season list while her 61 hits are fifth-most among the program's single season leaders. O'Brien had 20 multi-hit games and 12 multi-RBI games this season. She had a 14-game hitting streak from March 10-31. O'Brien was a PAC All-Tournament team selection and was named to the Jackson, Miss. Regional All-Tournament Team. She hit .364 at the regional championship, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs in the Titans' 14-1, five-inning elimination game victory over Berry. It was her sixth three-hit game of the year.

Westminster finished the season 31-11, posting the fourth 30-win season in program history. The Titans have made three-straight appearances in the Division III Championship field.
