Carrier tabbed D3baseball.com All-Region

FAIRBANKS, Alaska--Westminster rising junior Ty Carrier (New Bethlehem, Pa., Redbank Valley) was named a D3baseball.com All-Region 7 selection Tuesday morning.

Carrier, a right-handed pitcher, was named Second Team All-Region 7. He earned First Team All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) honors on May 13. Carrier went 5-1 with three saves and a 1.51 earned-run average (ERA) in 17 appearances. He threw 35.2 innings and allowed nine runs (6 earned) on 32 hits with three walks and 32 strikeouts. Carrier posted a career-high five strikeouts in an 8-2 game two win at Thiel on April 22.

Westminster closed the season with a 28-12 overall record, matching the program's single-season wins record, and finished 17-5 in the PAC. The Titans secured the No. 1 seed in the PAC Championship Tournament before their postseason run came to an end with losses to No. 6 Chatham and No. 5 Grove City.
