Three earn Academic All-District®

GREENWOOD, Ind.--Three members of the Westminster women's tennis program were recently recognized by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) with Academic All-District® honors. 

Recent graduates Grace Askey (Dubois, Pa., Jeff Tech) and Christine Rossi (Jefferson Hills, Pa., Thomas Jefferson), along with rising senior Emma Overlingas (Pittsburgh, Pa., Baldwin), were recognized. It was the second time Rossi (2024) and Overlingas (2025) were honored. 

Askey graduated cum laude on May 9 with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and finished with a 3.74 cumulative grade-point average (GPA). She was named to the College's Dean's List six times and is a three-time Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Academic Honor Roll selection. Askey finished her career with a singles record of 17-19 overall and a doubles record of 8-9. 

Rossi graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in physics and mathematics and had a 3.80 cumulative GPA. She is a six-time Dean's List selection and has earned PAC Academic Honor Roll distinction four times. She was named Honorable Mention All-PAC at No. 1 singles last fall. Rossi, who missed the majority of the 2024 season due to injury, was named First Team All-PAC at No. 1 doubles and Second Team All-PAC at No. 2 singles in 2023. She concluded her career with a singles record of 18-18 overall and a doubles record of 27-14. 

An early childhood/special education major, Overlingas carries a 3.87 cumulative GPA. She has been named to the College's Dean's List five times and is a two-time PAC Academic Honor Roll selection. Overlingas went 6-5 in singles play and posted a doubles record of 4-7 last season. 

Westminster concluded the season with an overall record of 3-9 and 2-6 record in the PAC.
