Women's lacrosse wins at Hiram

HIRAM, Ohio--The Westminster women's lacrosse team claimed a 22-1 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) victory at Hiram Wednesday afternoon. 

Westminster improved to 8-5 overall and 5-1 in the PAC. 

Sophomore Allyssa Anstis (Coraopolis, Pa., Moon) finished with four goals, two assists, three ground balls, two caused turnovers and three draw controls. Senior Haley Wenzel (Coppell, Texas, Coppell) had three goals and one assist while senior Julia Ravazza (Twain Harte, Calif., Dublin) added one goal, three assists and two ground balls. Graduate student Felicia Young (Darlington, Pa., Blackhawk), Wenzel and freshmen Ava Dreher (Sarver, Pa., Freeport) and Aleksa Lobas (Justice, Ill., Nazareth Academy) each had a hat trick in Wednesday's win. 

Junior Falyn Snyder (Bel Air, Md., Bel Air) and freshman Meadow McDonald (Chardon, Ohio, Chardon) made one save each. Snyder started and earned the win while McDonald played the entire second half.

Westminster out shot Hiram 36-5 and had a 23-3 shots on goal advantage. Westminster went a perfect 8-for-8 on clears while Hiram went 1-of-11. Westminster was 4-for-4 on free position attempts. 

Up next:
Westminster hosts Washington & Jefferson Saturday for its Senior Recognition Day. The opening draw at the UPMC Sports Complex is set for 1 p.m.
