Rankin scores second-straight PAC Player of the Year award

Morgan named PAC Newcomer of the Year

BOARDMAN, Ohio--Junior Katie Rose Rankin (Sewickley, Pa., North Allegheny) earned her second-straight Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Player of the Year award Saturday at the conclusion of the fourth and final round of the PAC Championships at Mill Creek Metroparks' Mill Creek Golf Course. The final two rounds of the 72-hole championship were played on Mill Creek's North Course. 

Washington & Jefferson won the league title with a combined, four-round score of 1332 after its 312 on Saturday. Westminster finished in second place with a four-round team score of 1343 after Saturday's 321.

Rankin finished with a four-round score of 312 after shooting a two-over 74 on Saturday. She had four birdies during her final round. Rankin entered the two spring championship rounds in second place. She recorded a four-round score of 329 last season.

Freshman CeCe Morgan (Fairview, Pa., Cathedral Prep) was recognized as the PAC Newcomer of the Year after her 12th-place finish. She posted a four-round score of 361 after Saturday's 79. 

Sophomore Ava Liburdi (Hermitage, Pa., Hickory) finished fourth, shooting an 82 Saturday to give her a four-round score of 328. Senior Alyssa Rapp (Poland, Ohio, Cardinal Mooney) was 11th with a four-round score of 356 after Saturday's 86. Senior Olivia Kana (North Huntingdon, Pa., Greensburg Central Catholic), rounding out Westminster's scoring five, was 17th. She finished with a four-round score of 364 after her final round of 96. 

Rankin and Liburdi captured First Team All-PAC; it was the third-straight first team selection for Rankin and second for LIburdi. Rapp and Morgan were named Honorable Mention All-PAC.
