Westminster earns PAC win at Thiel

GREENVILLE, Pa.--The Westminster women's lacrosse team registered a 22-5 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) victory at Thiel Thursday afternoon inside the Rissell-Schreyer Dome. 

Twelve players scored for the Titans. 

Freshman Kaylin Henry (Martinsburg, W.Va., Martinsburg) finished a career-high six points after firing in four goals and two assists. Sophomore Allyssa Anstis (Coraopolis, Pa., Moon) scored four times. Freshman Mady Warner (Concord Township, Ohio, Riverside) had four points on two goals and two assists while freshman Aleksa Lobas (Justice, Ill., Nazareth Academy) finished with two goals and an assist. Senior Chloe Courinos (Beaver Falls, Pa., Blackhawk) and freshman Ava Dreher (Sarver, Pa., Freeport) each scored a pair of goals. Graduate student Felicia Young (Darlington, Pa., Blackhawk) and senior Julia Ravazza (Twain Harte, Calif., Dublin) both finished with one goal and two assists.

Junior Falyn Snyder (Bel Air, Md., Bel Air), a 10-game starter in goal for the Titans this year, found the back of the net for the first time since scoring twice in Westminster's 20-1 win over Waynesburg on April 27, 2024. 

Sophomore Mikayla Beveridge (Beaver Falls, Pa., Blackhawk) finished with three ground balls and three draw controls. Lobas, Young and freshman Cassidy Singer (Kent, Ohio, Theodore Roosevelt) had three ground balls each. Henry added two ground balls, two caused turnovers and four draw controls while Warner chipped in with two caused turnovers and three draw controls.

Freshman Meadow McDonald (Chardon, Ohio, Chardon) secured her first collegiate victory, stopping six shots. 

Westminster (6-5, 3-1 PAC) outshot Thiel (0-10, 0-5 PAC) 32-12 and had a 25-10 edge in shots on goal. The Titans were a perfect 8-of-8 on clear attempts.

Westminster will travel to Hiram Wednesday. The opening draw is scheduled for 5 p.m.
