Titans drop home tilt to Mount Union

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.--The Westminster women's lacrosse team dropped a 11-5 decision to Mount Union in non-conference action Tuesday evening at the UPMC Sports Complex. 

Senior Julia Ravazza (Twain Harte, Calif., Dublin) had one goal and two assists. Graduate student Felicia Young (Darlington, Pa., Blackhawk) scored a pair of goals while senior Michaela Neelin (Henrietta, N.Y., Rush Henrietta) and sophomore Allyssa Anstis (Coraopolis, Pa., Moon) also scored. 

Sophomore Mikayla Beveridge (Beaver Falls, Pa., Blackhawk) finished with four ground balls while senior Isabella Cespedes (Merrick, N.Y., Sanford H. Calhoun) had three ground balls and three caused turnovers. Junior Falyn Snyder (Bel Air, Md., Bel Air) stopped 11 shots and added three ground balls. 

Mount Union led 5-4 at the half before outscoring Westminster 7-1 in the second. 

Mount Union outshot Westminster 40-14 and finished with a 16-11 edge in shots on goal. The Titans went 16-of-23 on clears. 

Up next:
Westminster (5-5) will return to Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action Thursday at Thiel. The opening draw is scheduled for 5 p.m.
