WAYNESBURG, Pa.--The Westminster women's volleyball team earned Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) sweep at Waynesburg Saturday afternoon.

Westminster upped its record to 13-9 overall and 4-2 in the PAC, while Waynesburg fell to 1-17 overall and 0-6 in the league. The Titans finished with a 36-19 edge in kills and a 14-4 advantage in service aces while hitting .164 to Waynesburg's .011.

Junior Morgan O'Brien (Pittsburgh, Pa., Our Lady of the Sacred Heart) hit .407 with 14 kills on 27 attacks. She added 11 digs, six assists and five service aces. Senior Zoie Reid (Salem, Ohio, Salem) finished with eight kills and four digs while junior Dakota Hershberger (Belleville, Pa., Mifflin County) chipped in with five kills and four digs. Senior Anna-Kate Davis (Boonsboro, Md., Boonsboro) totaled 17 assists, three digs and a pair of aces while junior Brooke Gecina (Aurora, Ohio, Aurora) had 16 digs. She has recorded at least five service aces in back-to-back matches.

The Titans took control of the first set with a 7-0 run that turned a 3-3 tie into a 10-3 lead, with O'Brien serving six-straight points and recording three aces in that stretch. Hershberger added three kills during the early separation, and the Titans closed the set by scoring the final four points for a 25-10 win.

In the second set, the Titans erased a 20-16 deficit with eight straight points on Gecina's serve, including three Gecina aces and a Reid kill, to move ahead 24-20. After Waynesburg stopped the run, O'Brien finished the set with a kill from Davis for a 25-21 Titans win.

A four-point push moved the Titans from 18-15 to 22-15, with O'Brien's kill followed by back-to-back Davis service aces after a Waynesburg service error. O'Brien added kills to go up 23-18 and 24-19, and the Titans closed the set on a Waynesburg attack error for a 25-19 finish.
