Week 3 Notes (PDF)

First-and-10--
Westminster travels to Cleveland Saturday to take on Case Western Reserve... The Spartans are 3-1 against the Titans all-time at DiSanto Field, including a 31-6 victory in 2023... Westminster generated just 104 yards of total offense in the 2023 loss... In last year's 17-14 night game win in New Wilmington, Andrew Caranna drilled the eventual game-winning, 21-yard field with just over seven minutes remaining to break a 14-all tie.

Scouting Case Western Reserve--
Saturday is the Spartans' home opener... They are 15-5 in home-opening games under Coach Debeljak, including a 64-6 win over Bethany in the first game of the season at DiSanto Field in 2024... Case Western Reserve suffered a 38-28 loss to Wabash last Saturday in Crawfordsville, Ind. ... The two teams were tied at 21-21 heading into the fourth quarter, but the Little Giants managed to pull away with 17 unanswered points en route to the win... The game was delayed for an hour due to lightning--with two more delays taking place in the second half--before the game was completed at nearby Crawfordsville High School... Making his first career start, junior quarterback Sam DeTillio completed 13-of-19 pass attempts for 176 yards and carried the ball 17 times for 40 yards and two touchdowns.
