Young named Academic All-District® At-Large

GREENWOOD, Ind.--Recent Westminster College graduate Felicia Young (Darlington, Pa., Blackhawk) was named a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® At-Large selection Tuesday afternoon.

The Academic All-District® At-Large Teams, selected by members of the CSC, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. 

The CSC's At-Large program includes student-athletes from the following sports: beach volleyball, bowling, crew/rowing, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing and water polo. 

Young, a member of the women's lacrosse program, graduated on May 10 with a bachelor's degree in sports management and carried a 3.82 cumulative grade-point average (GPA). She has been named to the College's Dean's List twice and the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Academic Honor Roll once. Young was named Honorable Mention All-PAC after the 2025 season. She made 18 starts and finished with 50 points on 48 goals and two assists and added 19 ground balls, 10 caused turnovers and 32 draw controls. Young had four game-winning scores this year. 

Academic Standing:
  • Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
  • Student-athletes must be enrolled at their institution at the time of nomination either as undergraduates or graduate students. Only the school at which an athlete competed in the current academic year can nominate that player.
  • Student-athletes who have graduated from their own institution during the current academic year and are not competing in athletics at another institution at the time of nomination are eligible.
  • An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale).
  • A graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a graduate student, unless they are in their first semester as a graduate student and don't have an established graduate GPA.
  • The cumulative grade-point average may not be rounded up to 3.50.
Athletic Eligibility: Sport-specific Nomination Criteria
  • LACROSSE--Eligible nominees must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games.

Westminster, led by third-year head coach Bria Braddock, capped its season off in the semifinal round of the PAC Championship Tournament. The No. 4 seed, Westminster won its quarterfinal game 17-8 against No. 5 seed Thiel College before falling to eventual champion Grove City College 17-7. Westminster went 12-6 over and a 6-3 in the league.
