Ravazza scores six times in victory at Bethany

BETHANY, W.Va.--Junior attacker Julia Ravazza (Twain Harte, Calif., Dublin) finished with six points and four assists for the Westminster College women's lacrosse program Wednesday night in a 19-9 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) win at Bethany College Wednesday evening at Don Ault Field at Bison Stadium. 

Westminster, winners of four of its last six, improved to 11-4 overall and 6-2 in the PAC. Bethany fell to an overall record of 3-13 and a conference record of 2-6. 

Ravazza has scored six or more goals, with 10 or more points, in four games this year. 

Junior attacker Haley Wenzel (Coppell, Texas, Coppell) finished with two goals, two assists and two ground balls. Senior midfielder Felicia Young (Darlington, Pa., Blackhawk) had four goals, a pair of ground balls and one caused turnover. Sophomore attacker Khloe Huba (Butler, Pa., Butler) two goals, two assists and two ground balls. 

Freshman midfielder Ava Kessler (White Oak, Pa., Norwin) posted three goals, one assist, two ground balls, one caused turnover and six draw controls. Junior attacker Chloe Courinos (Beaver Falls, Pa., Blackhawk) had two goals, one assist, three ground balls and one caused turnover while junior defender Morgan Reidy (Elmira, N.Y., Elmira) had three ground balls and three caused turnovers.

Sophomore Falyn Snyder (Bel Air, Md., Bel Air) made 11 saves and added two ground balls in the win.

Westminster outshot Bethany 36-22 and had the advantage in shots on goal, 28-16. Westminster went 12-of-21 and won 19 draw controls.

Westminster will celebrate senior recognition day Saturday hosting Chatham University to conclude the regular season. Opening draw at the UPMC Sports Complex is set for 12 p.m.
