Westminster wins on the road

WAYNESBURG, Pa.--The Westminster College men's tennis program secured a 7-0 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) shutout victory over Waynesburg University Saturday afternoon. 

Westminster improved to 5-5 overall and 3-3 in the PAC. Waynesburg fell to 2-7 overall and 1-5 in the conference. 

At No. 2 doubles, juniors Ryan Crissman (Allison Park, Pa., Shaler) and Colin Bork (Pittsburgh, Pa., Shaler) won 6-3 against Josh DeFries and Andres Rojas and sophomore Hayden Kenny (Pittsburgh, Pa., Keystone Oaks) and junior Colin Fabich (Erie, Pa., Harbor Creek) won 6-2 against Tyler Gordon and Thomas Torcaso at No. 3 doubles to give Westminster the first point of the match. 

Crissman won 6-1, 6-4 at No. 1 singles against Ethan Clawson and senior Dylan Weiss (South Park, Pa., South Park) won 7-5, 6-2 against Sam Norris at No. 2 singles. Freshman William Nebiolo (Glenshaw, Pa., Shaler) won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles against DeFries while Bork beat Rojas 6-4, 6-1 at No. 4 singles. At No. 5 singles, Kenny won 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) against Gordan and sophomore Hayne Webster (Wellsboro, Pa., Wellsboro) won 6-3, 7-5 against Torcaso at No. 6 singles.
