Men's tennis wins spring opener

GREENVILLE, Pa.--The Westminster College men's tennis program won its Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opener 7-0 at Thiel College Friday afternoon on the Tomcat Tennis Courts.  

Junior Ryan Crissman (Allison Park, Pa., Shaler) and junior Colin Bork (Pittsburgh, Pa., Shaler) won at No. 2 doubles 6-0 against Evan Cessna and Kevin Gilroy. At No. 3 doubles, sophomore Hayden Kenny (Pittsburgh, Pa., Keystone Oaks) and junior Colin Fabich (Erie, Pa., Harbor Creek) also had a 6-0 win, beating Trevor Gateley and Kaleb McDowell. Senior Dylan Weiss (South Park, Pa., South Park) and freshman William Nebiolo (Glenshaw, Pa., Shaler) won 6-3 at No. 1 doubles against Nate Udell and Bret Vilage

Sophomore Hayne Webster (Wellsboro, Pa., Wellsboro) won at No. 6 singles, earning a 6-0, 6-0 win over McDowell. Bork won at No. 5 singles with a 6-0, 5-0 forfeit against Gateley and Nebiolo won 6-0, 6-3 against Cessna at No. 3 singles. Kenny beat Gilroy 6-3, 6-0 at No. 5 singles and Crissman won 6-4, 6-1 over Udell at No. 1 singles. Weiss had a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles against Vilage.

Westminster hosts Washington & Jefferson College Monday. The match is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. in New Wilmington.
