Senior left fielder David Kelly (Gibsonia, Pa., Eden Christian Academy) reached base twice, drawing a two-out walk in the third and singling in the fifth.

Sam Schneider, Heidelberg's leadoff man, singled in the second and scored Kyle Krummen, who drew a two-out walk and stole second to get into scoring position. In the fifth, after his two-out single and advancing to second on an error, Kelly scored on another Student Princes' error a batter later to tie the game 1-1. Andrew Pokley's RBI single in the bottom of the frame scored Schneider and gave Heidelberg a 2-1 lead. Garrett LaBeau led off the seventh with a home run to close out the scoring. It was his first of the year.
