Westminster mourns loss of Dan Blank

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.--The Westminster College community is mourning the loss of former student-athlete Dan Blank, who passed away on Feb. 10.

Dan, the son of Nancy and Jacob Blank, was a native of New Castle, Pa. and 2020 graduate of Laurel High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in biology last May. A sprinter and long jumper, Dan was a three-year member of Westminster's men's track and field program (2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24) and was a running back with the football program during its 2020-21 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship season.

Information concerning funeral arrangements will be announced by the College's Office of Faith & Spirituality when it is available.

For students who wish to seek assistance or counseling, available resources include the Wellness Center, the Office of the College Chaplain and the Student Affairs Office. These offices are generally open between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
