Sleva, Goode earn PAC yearly awards

17 players named All-PAC

TRAFFORD, Pa.--The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) announced its 2025 individual award winners and all-conference selections Thursday night. Westminster College senior Dylan Sleva (McDonald, Pa., Moon) captured PAC Defensive Player of the Year honors while freshman Quentin Goode (Aliquippa, Pa., Aliquippa) was tapped as the PAC Newcomer of the Year. 

Seventeen Westminster players were awarded All-PAC: seven were named First Team All-PAC, four landed on the Second Team All-PAC and seven earned Honorable Mention All-PAC. Sophomore Brite Cannon (Parkland, Fla., Monarch)
, who was recognized at multiple positions for the second-straight year, claimed First Team All-PAC as a returner and Second Team All-PAC as a wide receiver. 

Sleva, a First Team All-PAC choice, is the program's fourth defensive player of the year selection since 2017. Goode, an Honorable Mention All-PAC selection, is Westminster's second-straight newcomer of the year honoree (Lamont Austin, 2024). 

Also claiming First Team All-PAC honors were fifth-year Jean Garry Joseph (North Miami, Fla., Ebenezer Christian), juniors Clayton Cannon (Parkland, Fla., Marjory Stoneman Douglas), Brock Covell (Titusville, Pa., Titusville) and Braden Mika (Vandergrift, Pa., Kiski)
and sophomore Lamont Austin (Sharon, Pa., Sharon).

Senior Gage Dlugonski (Grove City, Pa., Grove City) and sophomores Andrew Caranna (Copley, Ohio, Revere) and Wes Donner (Bastrop, Texas, Bastrop) were named Second Team All-PAC. Seniors Dante Compagni (Eighty Four, Pa., Ringgold), Nate Wadsworth (Grove City, Pa., Grove City) and Demere White (Manalapan, N.J., DePaul Catholic), junior Craig Sonson Jr. (Pittsburgh, Pa., Montour), 
sophomores Ricky Cooper (Port St. Lucie, Fla., Port St. Lucie) and Lawrence Kasanzale II (Aliquippa, Pa., Hopewell) and Goode were named Honorable Mention All-PAC.

Sleva, a linebacker, earned All-PAC for the third-straight year. He was a Second Team All-PAC selection in 2023 and 2024. Named a semifinalist for the 2025 William V. Campbell Trophy® on Sept. 24, Sleva's 335 career tackles are sixth-most among active Division III players. His 98 total tackles (43 solo) rank 33rd in Division III this season. He also has 5.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and a pair of interceptions. Sleva finished with a career-high 25 tackles (9 solo) against Marietta (Sept. 4), the second-most by a Division III player this season. He was named PAC Defensive Player of the Week after posting 13 tackles (5 solo) and an interception in a 27-7 win at Franklin & Marshall (Sept. 15). Sleva earned a spot on the D3football.com Team of the Week after registering 15 tackles (10 solo) and a sack, his fifth-straight game with a dozen or more stops, in a 28-23 victory at Case Western Reserve (Sept. 20). 

A quarterback, Goode started the final fives games of the regular season, completing 97-of-154 passes (.630) for 1,292 yards. His 157.4 efficiency ranking is second-best in the PAC while his 13 touchdown passes are sixth-most among PAC counterparts. Goode was named PAC Newcomer of the Week twice this fall: after completing 23-of-29 passes for 324 yards and four touchdowns in his first start, a 48-6 win over Thiel (Oct. 18), and after completing 15-of-25 passes for 292 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 57-21 win over Allegheny (Nov. 1). His 324 passing yards against Thiel were the most in a game since Cole Konieczka threw for 327 in a 42-14 win over Allegheny on Sept. 17, 2022. Goode's 324-yard game ranks seventh among program leaders for most passing yards in a single game.

Brite Cannon has returned eight kickoffs with one returned for a touchdown this season and is averaging 37.5 yards per return. He caught 42 passes for 848 yards and 10 touchdowns. Cannon has five receiving touchdowns of 50 or more yards this year. His 20.2 yards per reception average ranks No. 19 in Division III. Cannon earned PAC Special Teams Player of the Week honors and was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week after accounting for 232 all-purpose yards and a pair of explosive second quarter touchdowns in a 28-23 win at Case Western Reserve (Sept. 20). Cannon returned a kickoff 100 yards to help stretch Westminster's lead to 21-7. It was the program's first 100-yard kickoff return since Sean Buggey took one back against Washington & Jefferson on Oct. 8, 2005. It was also the second kickoff return for a score, and fifth special teams' touchdown, of Cannon's career. He also ripped off an 80-yard catch and run touchdown from sophomore Sean O'Shea (Cranberry Township, Pa., Seneca Valley). He hauled in five catches for a career-high 167 yards and three touchdowns against Thiel and was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week after posting a career-high eight catches for 136 yards and a touchdown against Allegheny. Cannon was recognized as PAC Offensive Player of the Week after catching six passes for 113 yards and three touchdowns in a 57-14 win at Saint Vincent (Nov. 15). It was his fifth game of the season with 100 or more receiving yards. Cannon scored on a 65-yard pass from freshman QB Quentin Goode: Cannon was named a Second Team D3football.com Preseason All-America selection (RET) heading into 2025. He was a 2024 D3football.com All-Region 2 Third Team (RET) selection after being named a First Team All-PAC selection as an All-Purpose player and Returner following his freshman season. 

Joseph, a defensive lineman, is a two-time All-PAC pick. He was Second Team All-PAC in 2024. Joseph has totaled 21 tackles (7 solo), 6.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He also has a pair of interceptions this fall, returning one 28 yards for a score at Saint Vincent. It was the third interception of his career, and second returned for a touchdown: Joseph had an 11-yard return in last year's 27-13 victory over Marietta in the Extra Points Bowl (Nov. 23). 

A running back, Clayton Cannon is making his first appearance on the league's all-conference list after rushing for 671 yards and 11 touchdowns this season. His 11 rushing touchdowns are tied for the most in the PAC while his 671 yards are the fourth-most in the league. Cannon's 11 touchdowns are the most in a single season since Keano Grice scored a dozen rushing touchdowns during the Titans' 8-3 season in 2019.

Covell, a tight end, was recognized as All-PAC for the first time. A versatile playmaker that often impacts the Titans' run game, he appeared in all 10 regular season games (6 starts) and totaled 15 catches for 147 yards. Covell's 4-yard touchdown reception against Thiel was the first of his career. 

Mika, Westminster's starting right tackle, was named All-PAC for the third-straight year. He was an honorable mention pick in both 2023 and 2024. Mika has not missed a start since arriving in New Wilmington. 

A defensive back, Austin is a two-time All-PAC selection. He was Honorable Mention All-PAC in 2024. Austin posted 30 tackles (24 solo), four interceptions, a forced fumble and a tackle for loss and owns a pair of interception returns for touchdowns this year: a 34-yard return in a 52-0 win over Bethany (Nov. 4) and a 25-yard return in a 76-0 win against Hiram (Nov. 8). He has seven interceptions in 19 career starts. 

Dlugonski, the Titans' starting right guard, was recognized as an All-PAC selection for the first time. A 10-game starter in 2025, he has made 29 career starts along the offensive line. Dlugonski completed a 16-yard pass to Brite Cannon in the third quarter of Westminster's win over Hiram. It was his first career pass attempt. 

A kicker, Caranna earned his first career PAC selection. He ranks first in the PAC in made field goals, going a perfect 7-of-7 (3-3 from 20-29 yards, 4-4 from 30-39 yards) and converted 44-of-48 extra points. Caranna recorded 23 touchbacks on 67 kickoffs this fall. He was named PAC Special Team Player of the Week after drilling a pair of field goals (35, 30) and connecting on all three extra point attempts at Franklin & Marshall. 

Donner, a defensive lineman, has recorded 34 stops (14 solo), 5.0 sacks and 9.5 tackles for loss. He ranks ninth in the league in sacks and is tied for ninth in tackles for loss. Donner has made 19 career starts since arriving in New Wilmington last fall. This is his first time being recognized as an All-PAC selection. 

Compagni, the Titans' starting left tackle, has started 38-straight games, including all 10 regular season games this fall. This is the first time he has been named All-PAC.

Wadsworth, a tight end, made seven-straight starts to begin the season before suffering an injury against Allegheny. He scored the first touchdown of his career on a 1-yard Wildcat rush against Bethany. This is his first All-PAC selection. 

A running back, White has rushed 55 times for 300 yards and six scores. He added 21 catches for 130 yards and a touchdown. This is White's first All-PAC selection. 

Cooper, valued for his versatility performing multiple roles in the Titans' defense, made seven-straight starts to begin the year before suffering an injury against Allegheny. He has totaled 32 tackles (17 solo), 3.5 tackles for loss, a sack and a fumble recovery. He had a career-high eight tackles twice this season: against Marietta and at Washington & Jefferson (Oct. 11). This is his first All-PAC selection. 

Sonson, Westminster's primary punter since arriving on campus in 2023, averaged 36.5 yards on 40 punts this season. He dropped 15 inside the opponent's 20-yard line and had 13 returners call for a fair catch. Sonson delivered a 51-yard punt at Case Western Reserve, the third 50-plus yard punt of his career. He had a 53-yard punt at Carnegie Mellon in 2024 and had a career-high 56-yard punt against Carnegie Mellon in 2023. Sonson also serves as Westminster's primary holder during field goal and extra-point attempts and converted a two-point conversion pass to Wadsworth against Marietta. This is his first All-PAC selection. 

Kasanzale, a defensive lineman, made eight starts this fall, posting 22 tackles (11 solo), 4.0 tackles for loss and a pair of sacks. He returned a fumble nine yards for a touchdown against Hiram. This is Kasanzale's first time being named All-PAC.

Senior quarterback Ty McGowan (Moon Township, Pa., Moon) was recognized as a member of the PAC's Sportsmanship Team. The PAC Sportsmanship Teams were established to recognize student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior and are an ongoing effort to recognize and encourage positive sportsmanship among all PAC teams.

Sunday evening, Westminster was announced as the PAC representative invited to participate in the Extra Points Bowl in Canton, Ohio as part of the 2nd Annual Opendorse Bowl Series. The two-game Opendorse Bowl Series takes will take place this Saturday at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium and will once again bring together teams from the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC), the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC), the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) and the PAC. At 1 p.m. in the ForeverLawn Bowl, Ohio Northern from the OAC will match up with Wabash from the NCAC, the predetermined home team. The Extra Points Bowl, featuring Westminster for the second-straight year, and Mount St. Joseph, the HCAC representative, is scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m. As the PAC's representative, Westminster is the predetermined home team.
