Four named Academic All-District®

GREENWOOD, Ind.--Four Westminster College football players were named 2025 Academic All-District® team selections Tuesday afternoon by College Sports Communicators (CSC). The Academic All-District® teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

Recent graduate Jack Bible (Aliquippa, Pa., Central Valley), juniors Cody Hause (Boswell, Pa., North Star) and Braden Mika (Vandergrift, Pa., Kiski) and sophomore Andrew Caranna (Copley, Ohio, Revere) were all honored.

To be considered, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) and participated in at least 90 percent of the team's games or started two-thirds of the team's games. Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Jan. 27. 

A starting linebacker in 2025, Bible graduated in December with a 3.53 cumulative GPA as a business administration major. He is a three-time Dean's List selection and has been named to the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Academic Honor Roll once. Bible appeared in all 11 games, totaling 29 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and three fumble recoveries. He returned a fumble seven yards for a touchdown in Westminster's 76-0 win over Hiram on Nov. 8. 

Hause, a linebacker, carries a 3.78 cumulative GPA while double majoring in business administration and international business. He is a four-time College's Dean's List selection and has been named to the PAC Academic Honor Roll three times. Hause appeared in 10 games this year, finishing with 12 stops. 

Mika, a three-year starter at right tackle, owns a 3.50 cumulative GPA while double majoring in accounting and finance. A 2025 First Team All-PAC selection and 
Honorable Mention All-PAC pick in 2023 and 2024, he has not missed a start since arriving in New Wilmington. Mika has been named to the College's Dean's List twice and the PAC Academic Honor Roll one time. He was also recognized as an Academic All-District® selection in 2024. 

Caranna, a kicker, carries a 3.56 cumulative GPA while majoring in marketing and professional sales. Named Second Team All-PAC for the 2025 season, he has been named to the PAC Academic Honor Roll once.

Westminster wrapped up its 2025 season with an 8-3 record, posting a 40-21 victory over Mount St. Joseph in the Extra Points Bowl on Nov. 22 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio. The Extra Points Bowl was part of the second-annual Opendorse Bowl Series. It is the program's sixth season winning eight or more games under 12th-year head coach Scott Benzel
