Women's soccer clipped at Franciscan

STEUBENVILLE, Ohio--The Westminster College women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss to Franciscan Saturday afternoon at the Trinity Health System Field.

Westminster fell to 1-6-3 overall and 1-2-1 in the PAC. Saturday was the program's third 1-0 setback this season. Franciscan improved to 2-6-2 overall 1-1-2 in the league.

Franciscan's Bella Urso scored the eventual game-winner one minute, 22 seconds into match.

Senior Morgan Murphy (Yardley, Pa., Villa Joseph Marie) finished the match with a pair of saves.

Westminster outshot Franciscan 10-7 while both teams had three shots on goal. Franciscan held a 3-to-1 advantage in corner kicks. The Titans held a 59-41 edge in possession time.
