Titans fall at home to Bison

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.--The Westminster College men's soccer team suffered a 2-0 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss to Bethany Saturday afternoon at the UPMC Sports Complex. 

Westminster's record fell to 1-12-4 overall and 1-6-3 in the PAC. Bethany improved to 4-9-3 overall and 3-6-1 in the league. 

Before the start of the match, Westminster recognized its six senior players: Ethan Croushore (Lower Burrell, Pa., Burrell), Tyler Davis (Eighty Four, Pa., Ringgold), Andrew Dittemer (West Milford, N.J., West Milford Township), Kaleb Kuhn (Slippery Rock, Pa., Slippery Rock), Conner Roberts (Washington, Pa., Washington) and Noah Wolford (Butler, Pa., Butler) were recognized. 

Bethany netted its two goals in the opening half. Santiago Waites scored in the 20th minute and Samuel Bedoya scored in the 37th minute. Both were unassisted. 

Dittemer and Wolford split time in goal for the Titans. Dittemer started the first 45 minutes and made a pair of saves. Wolford started the second half and made four saves. 

Bethany edged Westminster in shots, 10-9, and finished with an 8-3 advantage in shots on goal. The two sides attempted five corner kicks each.

Westminster concludes its regular season Wednesday at Washington & Jefferson (8-7-2, 4-5-1 PAC). The match is scheduled to get underway at 7 p.m. inside Alexandre Stadium.
