Westminster downed at Saint Vincent

LATROBE, Pa.--The Westminster College women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss at Saint Vincent Saturday evening at UPMC Field.

Westminster fell to 1-9-4 overall and 1-5-2 in the league. It was the program's sixth 1-0 defeat this season. Saint Vincent improved to 12-2-1 overall and 6-1-1 in the PAC.

Saint Vincent's Emma Koller's goal in the 37th minute proved to be the game-winning goal for the Bearcats. Her score was assisted by Cori Bieber. Saturday's goal was Koller's 11th of the year and third game-winner this season.

Senior Morgan Murphy (Yardley, Pa., Villa Joseph Marie) finished with seven saves for Westminster.

Saint Vincent outshot Westminster 12-6 and finished with an 8-4 advantage in shots on goal. The Bearcats attempted eight corner kicks while the Titans managed two.

Up next:
Westminster will travel to Greenville, Pa. and Alumni Stadium at Stoeber Field Wednesday for a 5 p.m. matchup with Thiel (0-14, 0-8 PAC). It is scheduled to get underway at 5 p.m.
