NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.--The Westminster College women's soccer team was dealt a 1-0 loss by Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) rival Grove City Friday night at the UPMC Sports Complex.

Friday was the 10th time in the last 16 meetings between the conference foes that the match was decided by one goal.

Westminster fell to 1-8-1 overall and 1-4-1 in the conference. It was the program's fifth 1-0 defeat this season. Grove City pushed its winning streak to four-straight matches, improving to 6-4-2 overall and 5-0-1 in the PAC.

Scoreless at the half, Grove City's Tori Stevenson netted her seventh goal of the year in the 59th minute off Emily Horst's assist. Friday's goal was Stevenson's first game-winner this season.

Senior Morgan Murphy (Yardley, Pa., Villa Joseph Marie) totaled nine saves for Westminster.

Grove City outshot Westminster 25-5 and finished with a 12-0 advantage in shots on goal. The Wolverines attempted seven corner kicks while the Titans managed four.

Westminster will host Allegheny (3-6-4, 2-1-2) Wednesday. The match is scheduled to get underway at 5 p.m.
