Hergenrother, fouled on a three-point attempt with 0.6 seconds to go in the first half, knocked down all three free throws to give Westminster a 10-point lead, 41-31, heading into the break. Hergenrother scored 13 of his 17 in the first half.

Westminster's second half lead swelled to 17, 62-45, on Weir's pull-up jumper with just over 10 minutes left. Weir (9) and Hendershott (8) combined for 17 early second half points. Chatham managed to whittle Westminster's lead to five, 68-53, with just under five remaining before its pivotal 7-0 scoring run, capped by an Xavier three-pointer with just under three minutes to go, tied the game at 70-70.

Westminster shot 48.4 percent from the field (30-62) and made five of its 13 attempted three-pointers (.385).
