Westminster concedes two second half goals at Carnegie Mellon

PITTSBURGH--The Westminster College women's soccer program conceded a pair of second half goals in Sunday afternoon's 2-0 loss at No. 19 Carnegie Mellon University on the second day of the DoubleTree Hotel and Suites Pittsburgh Downtown Tartan Cup. 

Carnegie Mellon improved to 2-0-1 this season. Westminster fell to 1-2. 

The Tartans outshot the Titans 34-0, which included a 19-0 advantage in shots on goal. Carnegie Melon also had a 10-1 edge in corner kicks. 

Erin Magid broke the ice in the 82nd minute, scoring off Giulia Balestrieri's assist. Sai Sankhe scored in the 86th minute off an Alana Frederick assist. 

Junior Morgan Murphy (Yardley, Pa., Villa Joseph Marie) finished with a career-high 17 saves. 

Westminster will travel to Heidelberg University next Saturday.
