Titans open season with loss at Baldwin Wallace

BEREA, Ohio--The Westminster College men's tennis program opened its 2024-25 season Saturday afternoon at Baldwin Wallace University, falling to the Yellow Jackets 7-0 at Pop Collins Tennis Courts. 

Baldwin Wallace is 2-0 this season with wins over Washington & Jefferson College (9-0) and Westminster. Saturday's match was played with the winner of two-of-three doubles matches earning one point. 

Sophomore Hayden Kenny (Pittsburgh, Pa., Keystone Oaks) played a pair of close matches, falling 2-6, 7-6 (3) and 6-10 in the match tiebreak to Nathan Meier at No. 5 singles after partnering with classmate Hayne Webster (Wellsboro, Pa., Wellsboro) in a 6-4 loss at No. 3 doubles to Jack Hindman and Parker Campbell. 

Westminster is scheduled to host Penn State Behrend Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 5 p.m.
