Titans fall at home to Wooster

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.--The Westminster College men's soccer program was dealt a 2-1 loss by The College of Wooster Thursday night at the UPMC Sports Complex. 

Wooster improved to 2-1 this season while Westminster fell to 0-1-2. The programs played to a scoreless draw a season ago. 

The Fighting Scots broke a 1-1 deadlock in the 82nd minute on Miles Rochester's eventual game winner. It was his first goal this year. 

Senior forward Connor Schmidt (Evans City, Pa., Seneca Valley) scored in the 18th minute for Westminster. It was his first goal of the season. Wooster's Elliot Miller evened the score at 1-1 with a goal in the 25th minute. 

Wooster outshot Westminster 20-5 and had a 12-3 edge in shots on goal. Wooster took eight corner kicks, including five in the second half, while Westminster did not attempt a corner kick. 

Westminster is set to travel to Pittsburgh on Sunday to take on Carnegie Mellon University at 4:30 p.m.
