Men's soccer draws with Pitt-Greensburg

GREENSBURG, Pa.--The Westminster College men's soccer program played to a 1-1 draw at Pitt-Greensburg Tuesday afternoon. 

Westminster is 0-0-2 this season. Pitt-Greensburg is 0-2-1. 

Senior midfielder Brendan Callahan (Bensalem, Pa., Bensalem) scored Westminster's goal 34 minutes into the match. It was his second goal this season. Leyton Takac tied the match one minute into the second half. Matt Armenio assisted on Takac's goal. 

Sophomore goalkeeper Aaron Snyder (Hatboro, Pa., Upper Moreland) played all 90 minutes and finished with three saves.

A total of 16 men appeared for Westminster Tuesday. 

Westminster outshot Pitt-Greensburg 20-8 and had a 7-4 edge in shots on goal. Both teams had seven corner kicks. Pitt-Greensburg was whistled for a pair of yellow cards while Westminster was dealt one. Twenty-one fouls were called. 

Westminster will host The College of Wooster Thursday, Sept. 5 at the UPMC Sports Complex. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
