Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Toohey's first half score propels Titans to win

TIFFIN, Ohio--The Westminster College men's soccer program secured a 1-0 victory over Heidelberg University Saturday afternoon at the Hidden Valley Soccer Complex. 

Westminster improved to 2-2-2 overall while Heidelberg fell to 0-2-1 overall. The Titans have earned shutouts over the Student Princes in three-straight meetings. 

Senior forward Lucas Toohey (Mount Pleasant, Pa., Mount Pleasant) scored the match's lone goal in the 18th minute. It was his eighth career goal. Junior Noah Wolford (Butler, Pa., Butler) started and played all 90 minutes in goal, finishing with three saves. It was Wolford's first victory, and shutout, of his career. 

Westminster outshot Heidelberg 10-4 and had a 5-3 advantage in shots on goal. Westminster had a 9-7 edge in corner kicks. Each team was issued three yellow cards. 

Westminster will host Pitt-Bradford Saturday, Sept. 21. Kickoff at the UPMC Sports Complex is scheduled for 1 p.m.
