Titans fall at Allegheny

No. 4 seed heading into PAC Championship Tournament

MEADVILLE, Pa.--The Westminster College women's tennis program suffered a 7-0 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) dual match loss to Allegheny College Saturday afternoon at the Tennis Courts at Robertson.

Westminster wrapped up its regular season 7-3 overall and 5-3 in league matches. The Titans secured the No. 4 seed in next week's Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship Tournament and will host No. 5 Washington & Jefferson College in the quarterfinal round Tuesday afternoon. Westminster earned a 4-3 win dual match win over W&J on Sept. 23 in New Wilmington. 

Allegheny improved to 12-2 overall and 8-0 in the PAC, securing the championship tournament's top seed for the third-straight year.

Senior Ryleigh Valone (Erie, Pa., Villa Maria Academy) fell 7-5, 6-3 to Rei Etsumi at No. 3 singles while sophomore Emma Overlingas (Pittsburgh, Pa., Baldwin) dropped a 6-4, 6-4 decision to Nicole Serna Cassan at No. 4.
