Titans edged at Chatham

PITTSBURGH--The Westminster College men's soccer team was dealt a 2-1 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss by Chatham Saturday afternoon at UMPC Graham Field. 

Chatham improved to 2-7-2 overall and 1-2-1 in the PAC. Westminster fell to 3-5-3 overall and 0-4 in the league. 

After a scoreless opening half of play, Chatham's Azavier Coppin scored an unassisted goal in the 47th minute to give the Cougars a 1-0 lead. It was his league-best eighth goal this season.

Senior Kai Haseyama (Encinitas, Calif., San Dieguito Academy) leveled the match at 1-1 with an unassisted goal in the 70th minute. It was his first goal of the season. 

Anthony Holter netted the game-winner in the 83rd minute for Chatham. The score came off of assists from Anthony Quidachay and Coppin.

Westminster recorded 17 shots to Chatham's nine and finished with a 4-3 advantage in shots on goal. The Titans finished with a commanding 11-1 edge in corner kicks. 

Westminster travels to Franciscan Wednesday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
