Titans fall in four at Chatham

PITTSBURGH--The Westminster College women's volleyball team suffered a four-set loss at Chatham University Saturday afternoon. 

Chatham upped its record to 6-4 this season while Westminster fell to 7-6. 

Westminster won the opening set 25-19 before falling 31-29 in the second set, 25-15 in the third and 26-24 in the fourth. The Titans have taken the first set in three of their six losses this season. 

Senior Lauren Lampus (Sarver, Pa., Freeport) and sophomore Rachel Brady (Columbus, Pa., Corry) each had nine kills. Lampus added a season-high 19 digs and five assists while Brady had 13 digs. Junior Ava Ferringer (Venus, Pa., Cranberry) chipped in with eight kills and five digs.

Sophomore Angie Nardone (Ellwood City, Pa., Ellwood City) finished with an 18-assist, 17-dig double-double. The 17 digs were a career high. Senior Reanna Daniels (Hermitage, Pa., Hickory) had 11 assists and seven digs.

Senior Malia Duffy (Allison Park, Pa., North Allegheny) registered 17 digs. Senior Claire Tobin (Battlecreek, Mich., Lakeview) posted 10 digs.

Westminster hosts Geneva College at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Ron Galbreath Court inside Buzz Ridl Gymnasium.
