Titans 3rd at Fisher Invitational

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.--The Westminster College men's cross country team opened its season Friday evening by hosting the annual five-kilometer Fisher Invitational. 

Robert Morris University won the event with 15 points. The Colonials had the event's top eight finishers, including freshman Roman Galioto, who topped the 58-runner field with a time of 15 minutes, 49.79 seconds. 

The Titans were third in the four-team field, finishing with 90 points. Penn State Behrend finished as the runner-up with 50 points. 

Junior Dane Fasick (New Brighton, Pa., New Brighton) was 27th with a time of 18:09.53. Sophomore Justin Redilla (Cranberry Township, Pa., Seneca Valley) finished 32nd (18:23.27) while freshman Dennis Jones (West Middlesex, Pa., West Middlesex) was 35th (18:36.15). 

Senior Ryan Armstrong (Pocono Summit, Pa., Pocono Mountain West) finished 45th (19:47.78) and freshman Dalton Koehler (Chardon, Ohio, Fairport Harding) was 46th (19:49.81). 

Westminster will compete in Bethany College's Bison Invitational next Saturday, Sept. 9. The event is slated to begin at 10 a.m.
