Titans defeat Carlow

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.-- The Westminster College women's tennis team defeated Carlow University Monday afternoon 9-0.

Westminster improved its record to 15-5. Carlow fell to 0-3.

The Titans came out with a sweep in doubles to get out to a 3-0 lead.

Sophomore Emma Sukal (Pittsburgh, Pa. | Baldwin) and senior Sabrina Slagle (Upper St. Clair, Pa. | Upper St. Clair) 
earned victories at No. 1 and No. 3 singles, respectively, with identical 6-1, 6-0 scores. First-year Christine Rossi (Jefferson Hills, Pa. | Thomas Jefferson) claimed a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles and senior Caroline Fox (Acton, Calif. | Vasquez) picked up a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles. Sophomore Taylor Dlugozima (Volant, Pa. | Wilmington) and first-year Grace Askey (Dubois, Pa. | Jeff Tech) each claimed 6-2, 6-1 victories, with Dlugozima winning at No. 5 singles and Askey at No. 6 singles. 

The Titans will close out their season with a home match Saturday, April 8 against Juniata College at 1 p.m.
