Match Recap: Women's Tennis |

Titans win third straight

ORLANDO, Fla.--The Westminster College women's tennis team edged the University of Scranton 5-4 Friday afternoon at the United State Tennis Association (USTA) National Campus.

Westminster ran its season record to 13-5. Scranton fell to 4-5. The Titans went 3-1 on their four-match Florida trip.

Junior Caroline Fox (Acton, Calif. | Vasquez) 
secured the match-clinching point for Westminster, earning a 7-6, 10-8, 6-2 victory over Taralyn Reilly at No. 5 singles. 

Fox partnered with sophomore Ryleigh Valone (Erie, Pa. | Villa Maria Academy) 
in an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles. Valone defeated Maddy Abood 6-2, 6-3 at No. 6 singles. 

Freshman Christine Rossi (Jefferson Hills, Pa. | Thomas Jefferson) and senior Sabrina Slagle (Upper St. Clair, Pa. | Upper St. Clair) claimed an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles. Rossi posted a 6-0, 6-1 win over Brigid O'Mara at No. 3 singles. 

Westminster will travel to Baldwin Wallace University on Saturday, March 25 for an 11 a.m. match.
