Match Recap: Women's Tennis |

Westminster women fall to Coe

ORLANDO, Fla.--The Westminster College women's tennis team fell to Coe College 7-2 at the United State Tennis Association (USTA) National Campus Sunday morning. 

Coe improved to 11-2 this season while Westminster fell to 10-5.

Coe led 2-1 after doubles competition. Sophomore Ryleigh Valone (Erie, Pa. | Villa Maria Academy) and junior Caroline Fox (Acton, Calif. | Vasquez) earned an 8-3 win at the No. 3 position, defeating Jaden Fuqua and Maria Bello Escobar. 

Sophomore Gia Francisco (Canfield, Ohio | Canfield) secured Westminster's lone victory in singles play, defeating Claudia Bilkey 6-4, 6-3 at the No. 2 position. 

Westminster is scheduled to play three more matches during its Spring Break trip to the USTA National Campus. Wednesday, the Titans will take on the University of Wisconsin-Superior at 6:30 p.m.
