Titan women fall to Wooster

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.--The Westminster College women's lacrosse team suffered a 20-4 loss to The College of Wooster Wednesday night at the UPMC Sports Complex. 

Wooster improved 2-0 this season. Westminster fell to 0-3.

Kaitlyn McBride led the Fighting Scots with six goals. Britta Treu had four goals and four assists.

Ten players scored for Wooster. 

Hannah Shaw finished with 15 draw controls for Wooster. Lizzie Hardy totaled six ground balls. Jill Murray added three ground balls. Wooster finished 11-of-15 on clears and had a 24-5 edge in ground balls. 

Freshman attack Emma Brazier (Northport, N.Y. | Northport) had two goals and an assist for Westminster. Junior midfielder Nina Rascona (Somerset, Pa. | Somerset) and freshman attack Emma Lafayette (Pittsburgh, Pa. | North Allegheny) each scored a goal.

Senior goalkeeper Jaden Domaratz (Springdale, Pa. | Springdale) made 15 saves for Westminster. 

Wooster led 6-2 after one period and outscored Westminster 7-0 in the second period to lead 13-2 at halftime. Trailing 17-2 after three periods, Lafayette and Brazier scored back-to-back goals to open the fourth period for Westminster. Wooster scored the final three goals of the game. 

Westminster hosts Medaille University on Wednesday, March 8. The opening draw is scheduled for 5 p.m.
