Lampus, Brady help Titans score straight-set win over Thiel

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.--Senior Lauren Lampus (Sarver, Pa., Freeport) and sophomore Rachel Brady (Columbus, Pa., Corry) helped the Westminster College women's volleyball team secure a 3-0 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) victory over visiting Thiel Wednesday night at Ron Galbreath Court inside Buzz Ridl Gymnasium.

Westminster improved to 14-11 overall and 4-4 in the PAC with Wednesday's win. The Titans are 4-2 in New Wilmington this season. 

The Titans won by set scores of 25-13, 25-19 and 25-16. Wednesday was Westminster's 11th sweep of the year. 

Lampus and Brady both hit .550. Lampus finished with 13 kills and seven digs to surpass 1,000 career digs (1,009). Brady registered 11 kills. Juniors Ava Ferringer (Venus, Pa., Cranberry) and Elise Jordan (Key Largo, Fla., Coral Shores) had seven kills each. 

Senior Reanna Daniels (Hermitage, Pa., Hickory) totaled 23 assists and four digs while sophomore Angie Nardone (Ellwood City, Pa., Ellwood City) had 11 assists. Senior Malia Duffy (Allison Park, Pa., North Allegheny) finished with 14 digs while classmate Claire Tobin (Battlecreek, Mich., Lakeview) added seven digs. Sophomore Charlotte Burgan (Moon Township, Pa., Moon) had three blocks, three digs and a pair of kills. Ferringer and sophomore Shelby Rambo (East Palestine, Ohio, Crestview) had two blocks each. 

The Titans hit a season-high .381. 

Westminster will face Wells at LaRoche on Saturday. The match is scheduled for 2 p.m.
