Westminster men earn PAC draw at W&J

WASHINGTON, Pa.--The Westminster College men's soccer team earned a 1-1 draw against Washington & Jefferson in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match Wednesday night. 

Westminster is now 3-8-4 overall and 0-7-1 in the conference, while W&J's record sits at 3-6-5 overall and 2-2-4 in PAC play. 

Senior Kai Haseyama (Encinitas, Calif., San Dieguito Academy) scored in the 50th minute off of an assist from senior Jacob Steinbeck (Windber, Pa., Windber). It was Haseyama's third goal this season and Steinbeck's first assist of the year. 

W&J leveled the match in the 68th minute when Ethan Bowser scored a penalty kick. 

W&J finished with more shots (15-13) while Westminster had more shots on goal (7-6). Westminster had a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.  

Graduate student Jad Jadallah (Canfield, Ohio, Canfield) had five saves on the night, bringing his season total to 41. His 232 career saves rank fourth among the program's all-time leaders. 

Westminster will travel to Thiel Saturday. Kickoff at Alumni Stadium at Stoeber Field is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
