Westminster men fall 3-0 to Geneva

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.--The Westminster College men's soccer team suffered a 3-0 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss to Geneva Wednesday night at the UPMC Sports Complex. 

Westminster fell to 3-7-3 overall and 0-6 in the PAC, while Geneva improved to 9-4-1 overall and 6-0 in the league. It was the Golden Tornadoes' fifth conference shutout this season. 

Geneva scored three times in the first half. Carnel Kerr scored an unassisted goal in the 14th minute to put Geneva ahead 1-0. Kerr assisted on Wil Dunda's goal in the 21st minute that doubled the Golden Tornadoes' lead. Caleb Chambers used a Gabe Singh assist to close out the scoring in the 29th minute.

Geneva finished with an 11-9 advantage in shots and had six shots on goal to Westminster's five. Geneva also posted a 10-3 edge in corner kicks. 

Graduate student Jad Jadallah (Canfield, Ohio, Canfield) made three saves. Evan Shale totaled five saves for Geneva. Wednesday was his league-leading seventh shutout. 

Westminster hosts Waynesburg for Senior Day Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
