NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Paced by goals from sophpmores Natalie Vilchek and Brooke Horvath, Westminster College women's soccer team registered a 2-0 win over Juniata College Saturday in the opening day of the Westminster Soccer Tournament.

Vilchek (West Newton, Pa./Yough High) scored at the 38:06 mark of the first half to snap a scoreless stalemate, then Horvath (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional HIgh) harvested an insurance goal at the 66:31 segment of the second half. First-year Amanda Lewis was credited with both assists.

First-year goalkeeper Morgan Murphy pitched the shutout for Westminster (1-0-1), which out-shot Juniata, 16-5, including a 7-3 edge in corner kicks.

Westminster will meet Ohio Wesleyan University at 3:30 p.m. today as the tournament continues.
