GROVE CITY, Pa. – Westminster College women's soccer squad secured its third consecutive win, 2-1 over Grove City College Wednesday afternoon in a Presidents' Athletic Conference contest.
At Robert Thorn Field, first-year forward Amanda Lewis (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock High) and sophomore forward Mackenzie Powell (Harrison City, Pa./Penn Trafford High) posted tallies for the TItans (3-0-0 PAC, 7-2-1 overall) at the 14:24 and 43:16 marks, respectively. Sophomore midfielder Natalie Vilchek (West Newton, Pa./Yough High) assisted on Lewis' goal.
Westminster out-shot Grove City, 22-12.
Hailey Weinert, assisted by Britta Lagerquist, accounted for the goal for Grove City (0-2-1, 2-6-1) in the 85th minute.
First-year goalkeeper Morgan Murphy (Yardley, Pa./Villa Joseph Marie Academy) made 3 saves for Westminster, while her GCC goalkeeping counterpart, Courtney Lisman, was credited with 8 saves.
Westminster will welcome Chatham University in a PAC match Saturday, Oct. 1, beginning at 2:30 p.m.
