HOUSTON, Texas – The Westminster women's golf team concluded its historic season at the 2022 NCAA Championship on Thursday at the Bay Oaks Country Club.
"The past three days have been a great experience with some of my best friends," said senior
Baylee Horvath (Murrysville, PA / Franklin Regional). "Our program has come a long way thanks to Coach Torrence and Coach Heineman and I'm very excited to see the future for the golf team! We have lots of great recruits coming in so the opportunities are endless."
Westminster finished 27
th with a three-day score of 1043 (339-348-356).
Junior
Erika Hoover (New Castle, PA / Wilmington Area) led the Titans with a three-day score of 252 (78-86-88).
Completing the top-5 for Westminster were junior
Kasey Clifford (Ocean City, NJ / Ocean City) (258/85-87-86), sophomore
Sierra Richard (Beaver Falls, PA / Blackhawk) (260/88-82-90), Horvath (286/101-93-92), and sophomore
Morgan Byers (Venetia, PA / Peters Township) (181/88-93-0).
The Titans made their third NCAA Tournament appearance in four years, after winning their unprecedented fourth-straight PAC Title.
