NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster women's lacrosse team won, 17-6, at home on senior day against Waynesburg in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) bout Saturday afternoon.
"It's senior night, so leaving here with a "W" really means a lot, not only to the team, but to the seniors especially," said head coach
Bethany Snider. "Some of them were freshman when on the PAC Championship team, so to end on a high-note is definitely exciting to them. It gives us a lot to build off of for next year as well."
Westminster (3-9, 1-7 PAC) gained the early momentum as it scored three of the first four goals in the game. The Titans maintained a steady offensive attack as they cruised to a victory.
Westminster was led by senior
Magen Polczynski (Irwin, PA / Norwin) with juniors
Stephanie Cimini (Mars, PA / Mars Area) and
Jaden Domaratz (Springdale, PA / Springdale), all three scored five goals. The five-goal performance marked a career-high for Domaratz.
The Titans conclude the 2022 season with an overall record of 3-9 and a conference record of 1-7 under third-year head coach
Bethany Snider.
