WASHINGTON, Pa. – The two-seeded Westminster women's basketball team lost, 58-42, on the road against top-seeded Washington & Jefferson in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship game Saturday afternoon.

Rosanne Scott. "Not only are they great players, but they are great people. They have been a joy to be around every day and have taught me how a special team, like them, has changed my life."
In the second quarter when trailing by five (19-14), Westminster (18-9, 13-5 PAC) scored nine of the next 11 points to take the lead (23-22). However, Washington and Jefferson (23-4, 17-1 PAC) came back and led 28-23 at intermission.
In the second half, the Presidents extended their lead to double-digits and remained ahead for the rest of the game.
The Titans were led by junior
Natalie Murrio (Pittsburgh, PA / Brentwood), who scored a game-high 19 points to go with five rebounds and two steals (tying a game-best). Junior
Camden Hergenrother (Salem, OH / Cardinal Mooney) tallied 11 points, two assists, and two boards. Senior
Magen Polczynski (Irwin, PA / Norwin) chipped in with six points and four rebounds. Junior
Lindsay Bell (Youngstown, OH / Ursuline) added team-highs of eight rebounds and two blocks to go with four points. First-year
Mackenzie Powell (Harrison City, PA / Penn-Trafford) tied a career-best with one denial.
"Magen has helped turn this program back to a top contender in the conference," said Scott. "You win with great people and great leadership, she has provided both for us."
Murrio and Hergenrother were selected to the All-Tournament Team.
Selections for the NCAA and the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournaments will be announced on Monday, Feb. 28.
