Men’s Basketball: Titans Rally for PAC Win at Waynesburg

WAYNESBURG, Pa. – The Westminster men's basketball team erased a double-digit deficit to win, 57-54, at Waynesburg in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action Saturday evening.

"Great team comeback," said head coach Kevin Siroki. "We grinded it out. Proud of the guys. Any road win in the league is great."

Waynesburg (12-10, 8-7 PAC) took its first double-digit lead at 15-4 with 11:39 to go in the first half. The Yellow Jackets led 31-22 at halftime. The Yellow Jackets had a 50-40 lead with just under 10 minutes remaining in the contest. Westminster (14-8, 11-5 PAC), however, kept battling and went on a 13-2 run, capped off by a three-pointer by senior Anthony Ritter (North Lima, OH / South Range), to take its first lead of the contest at 2:29. Waynesburg regained the lead with a jumper, but four clutch free throws by senior Daniel Ritter (North Lima, OH / South Range) down the stretch sealed the win for the Titans.

Titan sophomore Andrew Clark (New Middletown, OH / Springfield Local) registered his fourth double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

"Drew stepped up for the team!" said Siroki.

Sophomore Reese Leone (Beloit, OH / West Branch) led the Titans with 14 points and in assists with three. Also scoring in double-figures was D. Ritter with 10, to go along with a game-high three blocks (also tied a career-best). A. Ritter added eight points. Senior Josh Hutcherson (Uniontown, OH / Uniontown Lake) tied a game-high 10 rebounds, marking the 10th time this season with double-digit rebounds.

The Titans are back in action Wednesday, Feb. 16 at PAC foe Grove City. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m.
