In a Presidents' Athletic Conference doubleheader, Westminster's women were blanked, 2-0, while Westminster's men suffered a 1-0 setback.

Tania Davidson tallied twice for Franciscan (4-0-1 PAC, 8-3-1 overall) at the 7:27 and 27:50 junctures. Her first score was set up by Bella Rubino.

Westminster (4-1-0, 8-3-1) pelted Franciscan goalkeeper Bri DeChristopher; however she made 13 saves in 90 minutes. Westminster out-shot Franciscan, 19-10, including a 13-8 edge in shots-on-goal. Franciscan had one more corner kick, 2-1.

First-year sensation Morgan Murphy (Yardley, Pa./Villa Joseph Marie) made 6 saves in goal for Westminster.

In the men's match, Augustine Rubino – at the 35:07 mark – accounted for the lone score.

Again, Westminster enjoyed a significant advantage in shots (11-6), shots-on-goal (6-4), and corner kicks (5-4); however Franciscan goalkeeper Jax Mautone made 6 saves in 90 minutes as Franciscan improved to 2-1-1 PAC, 7-2-3 overall.

For Westminster (1-3-1, 6-5-1), senior goalkeeper Jad Jadallah (Canfield, Ohio/Canfield High) made 2 saves in 90 minutes.

Westminster's women will travel to Beaver Falls on Tuesday, Oct. 11 to meet Geneva in a PAC match, while Westminster's men will make the same trip, but on Wednesday, Oct. 12.
