OBERLIN, Ohio - The Westminster women's soccer team won, 1-0, on the road against non-conference foe, Oberlin College, on Wednesday night four their fourth shutout of the season.

During the first half, Westminster (6-0-1) and Oberlin (4-4) found themselves in a low scoring affair. Neither offenses could muster any goals with the score 0-0 at intermission.

When the second half kicked off, both defenses picked up where they left off for the majority of the half. As time was ticking down and overtime looming, junior Sophia Kaplan (Mentor, OH / Mentor) assisted first-year Mackenzie Powell (Harrison City, PA / Penn-Trafford) when her shot found the back of the net and made her first collegiate goal count with eight seconds remaining in regulation.

The Titans outshot Oberlin (14-6) and bested them in shots-on-goal (7-1). Westminster also had the advantage in corner kicks (4-2).

Titan senior goalkeeper Camille Holzschuh (Youngstown, OH / Boardman) earned her third shutout of the season, while earning a save in a complete-game effort.

Westminster is back in action on Monday, September 27 as it hosts Heidelberg for a non-conference matchup. Kickoff is slated for 5 p.m.
